Stainless Steel Cookware SetIf you’ve always wanted a set of non-stick cookware, here’s something that will make you change your mind– the Cuisinart MCP-12 MultiClad Pro. It’s a 12-piece stainless steel cookware set that consists of a 1.5 quart and 3-quart saucepans, 8- and 10-inch skillets, a 3-1/2 quart sauté pan, an 8-quart stockpot, and steamer insert. It certainly has all your cooking needs covered.

What’s So Fantastic About It?

It’s made of stainless steel, which means it’s simple to get the pieces perfectly clean. Not only that, but it’s made of tri-ply 18/10 stainless steel. In case you didn’t know, this is the best grade of stainless steel for cookware. The numbers mean that the steel contains 18% chromium and 10% nickel. The Cuisinart MCP-12 MultiClad Pro cookware is thicker than nearly all its competitors, closely rivaling All-Clad.

With its brushed exterior and mirror-end interior, this cookware set is a fitting addition to any modern kitchen. But it doesn’t just sit there and look pretty. If you have any serious cooking on hand, the Cuisinart MultiClad Pro is up to the challenge.

One of things I like about this cookware is that it distributes heat so well. Stainless steel is a notoriously poor conductor of heat. The MultiClad Pro has an aluminum core sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel. The aluminum core helps distribute the heat quickly. High heat is not even necessary for cooking. Just preheat the pan at low or medium heat, and you’re excellent to go.

I also like it that the handles stay quite cool even while cooking, although they do heat up after some time on the burner. And the fact that the handles are solid and securely riveted to the body of the cookware is another plus. Flimsy, shaky handles make me nervous. The handles are also ergonomic in shape and angle, making it simpler to go, flip or shake the pan.

This stainless steel cookware has more features that will make you pleased. It is dishwasher safe, so cleanup is a breeze. It’s also oven safe up to 500F. You can brown or sear meat on the stove top and pop the whole thing in the oven to end cooking.

The MultiClad Pro is not as thick or heavy as an All-Clad, but the pans are still heavy enough and well-balanced. You don’t have to worry that the pans will tip over easily especially when they are empty.
The cookware comes with lids that happen to be interchangeable. You can even use the lids on the skillet. They fit well but provide enough room for steam to escape.

The Cuisinart MultiClad Pro has more aces up its sleeve. Unlike most other cookware, even the more expensive ones, it has rolled edges that eliminate sauces and liquids dribbling down the side of the pan. It can also be used on induction ranges.

Most people, like me, prefer to wash the MultiClad Pro by hand. That’s because it’s so simple to do. Hot water and dishwashing detergent are usually all that’s needed to get the pots and pans clean and shiny again. For more stubborn stains, Barkeeper’s Friend will usually do the trick.

What Some Consumers Say

Although I haven’t experienced some of the problems mentioned below, I reckon it’s a excellent thought to find out what others have to say about the Cuisinart MCP-12 MultiClad Pro.

It seems that some people have problems with a white chalky substance at the bottom of their pot, or white spots on the pots and pans. They have not been able to remove the white spots, even when they use Barkeepers Friend.

Some people also say that their handle lids got rusty, or their cookware arrived looking pitted and not smooth at all. But, this seems to be the exception. It’s very likely that they received terrible stock.
Others have distress with food, especially eggs, sticking to the pans. This doesn’t happen to everybody, though. It may be that the interior end is no longer as smooth as it should be, and that’s why the food sticks to the pan.

The vast majority of consumers, but, rate the MultiClad Pro 5 stars.

What’s the Bottom Line?

Comparing non-stick cookware and stainless steel cookware, the only advantage the former has is that food does not stick to the pots or pans. In all other aspects, stainless steel cookware wins, hands down. You can easily brown or roast food in a stainless steel skillet. You can’t do this with a non-stick pan. Stainless steel cookware is also safer because it does not have any toxic coating that could peel off and get in the food.

Compared to other stainless steel cookware, Cuisinart MultiClad Pro
works better than a lot of other brands. The cookware heats evenly and allows you to cook tasty meals. It’s simple to clean up, and looks gorgeous on the stove top or on your shelves.

It may not be perfect, but it’s a fantastic product at an amazingly affordable price. You can order the Stainless Steel Cookware Set
now at Amazon for only $224.95. That’s 63% off the original price, and it’s one of the best deals you’ll ever get.
